Data leaders have seen this before: an alert fires, dashboards start flashing, and the incident begins. The clock’s ticking, but resolution still depends on someone manually digging through logs, chasing down context, and piecing together a fix.

It’s slow. It’s manual. And in enterprise environments, it doesn’t scale.

With today’s general availability of bigAI, Bigeye is closing that gap.

bigAI uses generative AI to do what most observability tools can’t: summarize the issue, detect the root cause, and recommend a next step instantly. No guesswork, no jumping between tools. Just clear, reliable context embedded right where teams need it.

This release builds on everything Bigeye already does for enterprise customers: deep lineage, smart monitors, and robust alerting. And with a patent now filed for the technology powering it.

“bigAI is changing incident resolution for enterprise data teams,” said Kyle Kirwan, co-founder and CPO at Bigeye. “By transforming raw incident data into clear, actionable summaries, bigAI helps teams respond faster, communicate more effectively, and build more resilient pipelines.”

What bigAI Means for Enterprise Teams

In large-scale environments, context disappears quickly. Incidents don’t just take down pipelines, they affect dashboards, reports, business decisions. Every minute spent figuring out what’s broken and who needs to know is a minute of lost trust and momentum.

bigAI helps close that gap. It reduces MTTR by helping teams get to root causes faster. It improves communication by giving teams clear, immediate summaries of issues. And it helps prevent recurring issues by identifying patterns and offering resolution suggestions.

And unlike most LLM-based tools, bigAI is built securely from the ground up. No customer data leaves the platform. No prompts are sent to external models. It’s privacy-first and fully compliant with enterprise security standards.

Patent-Pending Technology, Built for the Future

On April 14th, Bigeye filed a provisional patent application for the technology behind bigAI. The patent covers how the system gathers and analyzes metadata, identifies likely causes, and generates human-readable incident summaries tailored to each customer’s environment.

For enterprise teams, this represents a shift toward smarter, more scalable incident response, grounded in real context.

The Future of Data Observability

This launch marks a turning point for the data observability category as a whole.

AI-generated guidance is becoming essential for enterprise teams that need to move faster, and make better decisions with (and about) their data.

Industry analysts agree. Gartner notes that “only vendors with advanced technologies offer this feature in their data observability tools, and recommendations aren’t always available for all types of issues. This is a differentiating factor among vendors.”

We believe that’s exactly where observability is headed: fewer alerts, more answers. Not just detecting problems, but helping data leaders fix them– and prevent the next one.

bigAI is now generally available to all current and future Bigeye customers.
