Joan Pepin is our Chief Information Security Officer and a seasoned cybersecurity executive with 27 years of experience in technology. 

Joan has held executive security roles at notable companies including Sumo Logic (CISO), Auth0 (CSO), and Nike Digital (BISO). She has also served as CEO and co-founded a security startup, giving her a unique perspective on balancing security needs with business objectives. 

Throughout her career, Joan has navigated the security challenges faced by companies at every stage of growth, from early-stage startups to global enterprises preparing for major exits. Her experience spans the technical, operational, and strategic aspects of cybersecurity, including compliance frameworks, risk management, and building security cultures that align with business objectives. 

Joan believes that startups don't need overwhelming security bureaucracy– they need practical, scalable solutions that help them close deals, pass audits, and give leadership confidence.
