Northeast Tribes: OTTAWA

	Ottawa The Ottawa Language is part of the Algonquian Language Family. They had patrilineal clans. Polygyny was accepted but dependent on wealth. Women were separated from the men during menstruation and after childbirth. After birth, the child was washed, tied to a board and nursed for three years.
