Comanche The Comanche Language is part of the Uto-Aztecan Language family. The Comanche had a bilateral descent and bilocal residency. They lived in teepees and wickiups with their nuclear families. To obtain a bride, men would give gifts to the girl's parents: meat, bows, arrows, and horses. Childbirth took place in a separate lodge, attended by a midwife and a female relative. Children stayed naked until age five. |
