	Bannock/Shoshone The Bannock/Shoshone Language is part of the Uto-Aztecan Language Family. There were all sorts of different relationship structures. Brides were bought from the wife's family. If men could not afford a wife, brothers would pool together and marry one wife, polyandry. There was also sororal polygyny, where a man would take all sisters for his wives. There was no formal ceremony for marriage, however, the man had to pay the girl's family if he wanted to have sex with her.
