The only places that compare are the little Mexican restaurants up and down 301. If you can't appreciate Cinco de Mayo, then I'm sorry, you just don't know what good Mexican is. User Rating: 5 out of 5 stars by Amanda 07/31/2008 This is right downtown on Main Street and the only complaint I've ever had is finding a place to park. But that's true for most restaurants downtown. Luckily I work close enough to walk there and often do, because Cinco de Mayo is really the best Mexican food I've had since I moved to this area. The service is great, the restaurant is clean and the food is fabulous. The tamales are the best I've had other than the ones I used to get from my friend's aunt. They are homemade and wonderful. Good inexpensive lunch specials, wonderful chips and salsa for starters (although quite a few good picks on the appetizers menu also). I have not found anything there that I didn't like! Every time someone from out of town visits we take them there and they also love it, very flavorful and homemade taste in your mouth, the presentation is beautiful, this is a very clean place... we recommend this place and give it all 5 stars.
